Always use a shave foam, as there is no lubrication strip. Angle the razor at 10 - 15° degrees, with the razor almost parallel to the skin. Use very light pressure - it is an open blade and not like other razors! Try to avoid multiple passes - hair should be removed after one pass, if the above is followed. Enjoy the smoothest, close shave.

A revolutionary 100% certified compostable, bio-based material comprised of waste wood pulp (cellulose), clay and natural bonding agent of pine oil, sourced from Northern Europe. The blade is made from 100% stainless steel.
The razor breaks down in different processes dependent on municipal waste management of your local area. If leaked into the wider ecosystem, the Nimbi razor will breakdown into CO2, water vapour, biomass and natural inorganic compounds (clay). The blade does not compost, as it’s stainless steel, it will however corrode over a longer period of time. IMPORTANT: Due to the metal blade, our razors cannot go into home composting or organic waste collection. We are working on a dedicated collection scheme that allows Nimbi to compost and recycle used razors. For the time being, you are best off disposing of your razor in your general waste. Our promise to you is the product will leave no microplastics behind, regardless of it’s end of life.
Apart from expensive metal safety razors, no mainstream razors allow for blade removal. As a small brand, we chose to match conventional designs for accessibility, achieving a verified 90%+ lower environmental impact (EIC Climate Kic verified). In the future, we aim to provide a safe blade-removal option for at-home composting. Note: our proprietary single blade amounts to more than half the amount of steel compared to mainstream multi-blade razors.

We’ve been conditioned to accept lubrication strips made from polystyrene pads soaked in lanolin, offering little glide benefit while contributing to irritation, ingrown hairs, and conditions like KP.
